Teachers Along the Way

The Full You has been shaped by many years of listening, reading, questioning, and reflecting.

Along the way, certain teachers helped me see personal responsibility, emotional healing, faith, identity, awareness, purpose, and human potential differently. Some gave me language for things I had already felt. Others challenged me to think beyond the limits I had accepted for myself.

I do not agree with every idea taught by every person included here. But each of them contributed something meaningful to the way I understand people, growth, healing, and the lifelong work of becoming more fully ourselves.

These are some of the teachers who helped me connect the dots.

A Foundational Influence

Jim Rohn

Personal responsibility, discipline, philosophy, and growth

Jim Rohn has been one of the greatest influences on the way I think about life. His teachings helped me understand that meaningful change often begins with the daily choices, habits, and personal philosophy we bring to our lives. His work reinforced the idea that we may not control everything that happens to us, but we can continue developing the person who responds.

Tony Robbins

Patterns, beliefs, emotional state, and personal agency

Tony Robbins helped me understand how strongly our beliefs, habits, language, and emotional state can shape our choices. His work encouraged me to look beneath behavior, recognize the patterns driving it, and remember that awareness can give us more power over what happens next.

Brené Brown

Vulnerability, shame, courage, and belonging

Brené Brown's work gave me a deeper understanding of vulnerability, shame, courage, and the human need to belong. She helped me see how often we protect ourselves from being fully known and how much courage it can take to live without constantly proving our worth.

Bishop T.D. Jakes

Faith, identity, purpose, transition, and perseverance

Bishop T.D. Jakes helped me recognize that difficult seasons can become places of preparation rather than proof of failure. His teaching has influenced the way I think about purpose, transition, resilience, identity, and the strength required to continue becoming who we are meant to be.

Iyanla Vanzant

Healing, truth, accountability, and relationships

Iyanla Vanzant helped me see that compassion and accountability do not have to cancel each other out. Her work encouraged me to look honestly at emotional wounds, relationship patterns, personal responsibility, and the truths we sometimes avoid because facing them asks us to change.

Teal Swan

Emotional pain, unmet needs, fragmentation, and integration

Teal Swan's work introduced questions about the parts of ourselves we reject, the needs that may still be unmet, and the ways emotional pain can shape our inner world. Her ideas contributed to my interest in understanding protective strategies and bringing disconnected parts of ourselves back into a larger picture.

Ralph Smart

Self-awareness, conditioning, energy, and conscious living

Ralph Smart encouraged me to question conditioning, pay attention to my inner world, and become more conscious of the energy I bring into my life. His work reinforced the importance of self-awareness, personal freedom, and creating a life that feels more aligned with who we truly are.

No single teacher holds the entire answer.

Each offered a perspective, a question, or a piece of language that helped me understand another part of the human experience. The Full You grew from years of listening to those ideas, testing them against lived experience, and connecting them in ways that made sense to me.

This page is not a list of people to follow without question. It is an acknowledgment of the voices that encouraged me to keep learning, looking deeper, and becoming more curious about what shapes us.
